I guess with Special Edition out there's no reason to play this version anymore.. Fast paced , takes skill to master but fun for the casual gamer as well. they released another version of this game with more features and the same price, but you have to re-buy the entire game to access any of it. Awesome game. People say it's a bad PC port, but honestly I played with keyboard and controller each with one run through. It's doable on easier modes to play with keyboard, so if you're just looking to play the game and get the DMC experience out of one or two run throughs, it's totally worth it. I picked it up for 5 buckeroos on sale, and I'm not disappointed at all. This was my first entry into the series, and while you shouldn't expect too much plot wise, or even character wise, (coming in with no initial impressions of the DMC world whatsoever), you can expect a LOT combat wise. The game allows you to switch between Nero and Dante depending on the chapter in the game you are on, and the variances in fighting style mix up the game in an other-wise boring re-run through of all the levels (yes, the second half of the game plows you right in the opposite direction of the first- you go through all of the levels again pretty much.) The PC edition even adds a new difficulty- legendary dark knight mode, which I ran through the first 3 levels with a keyboard (so, it is doable), and have gotten to level 7 with a controller. It's pretty freakin' fantastic to fight 30+ enemies on hardmode, and makes you feel all around like a b055. All in all, I've become very attached to all the characters, (except maybe Kyrie, but no hate) and would totally reccommend this game to anyone lookin' for a good ole' hack n slash. Personally, I'm an RPG fan all around, but this game has enough RPG elements to keep me in tune. I'll be picking up the HD Collection this winter.. One of the best genres of games I've ever played. It's completely compatible as a pc version too (unlike the previous DmC 3). The game is challenging, but fun enough that dying isn't a huge issue on some of the higher difficulties. It's quite stereotypical where the guy has to save the girl, but it definitely has a unique aspect to it. Some of the girls also wear quite revealing outfits in this game and they have tried very hard with boob physics on them. That's a warning. Or a selling point.
